In most cases free 30-Day Access to the Gold Version of Linn Trade Platform (LTP), which is one of this software’s most feature rich versions, is available.

  • There is a caveat on the free software. If you have used LTP software in the past 12-months; access to the software is not free since you have already had 30-day free access. This is the vendor’s policy, not that of the Charting Course
  • After 30-days have expired it’s easy to subscribe to the charting software
  • All of your settings can be and should be saved to your computer and to our vendors servers
  • At midnight, our chart vendor’s servers do a backup of your last saved settings which you can easily retrieve should the need arise
  • Charting Software access can be purchased at any time as the initial charge will be pro-rated on a monthly basis

Live Quotes

  • Live CME Globex Quotes are included in the free trial. After the free trial ends, live quotes cost $5 per month.
  • Quote and Software fees are charged to a credit card, not taken from customer trading accounts. Our staff will take the information and enter it into our credit card vendor’s system. We do not keep the data on hand for obvious reasons.
  • Should you elect to subscribe, the credit card vendor will charge the fees you agree to on a set date each month
  • AMEX, Visa, Master Charge and Discover Card are accepted
  • Free delayed data can be viewed on some markets as set by each exchange's internal policy
  • Exchanges do not offer pro-rated quote fees
  • Typically the most expensive live quote fees are charged by the ICE Exchange, where “soft commodities” along with Brent Crude Oil are traded
  • Globex is the best buy at $5 for live quotes on their all electronic markets

Linn Trade Platform (LTP)

This software is Java based:

  • This is the charting software Ira uses in the course videos
  • The software downloads to your computer’s hard drive
  • It is not web based, meaning it does not operate through a web browser
  • It can be placed on multiple computers
  • Only one connection at a time will be active
  • You will be issued a User ID and Password for its operation
  • It works best on PCs but will work on Apple desktop and laptop products (not iOS)
  • Your computer must have an internet connection that is up and running for the software to operate

  • Copper
  • Nickle
  • Silver
  • Gold

There are five different versions of Linn Trade Platform (LTP), each catering to different customer needs

  • In most instances the Silver Version will be adequate, but since the trial is free, why we provide you with all the features the software offers in our Gold version. The Gold version also plots stock and ETF charts along with robust analytics on options on futures.
  • 4 of the charting versions contain Swinglines, the exception being the Copper Version which does not
  • The Nickle Version, which only works with delayed quotes, can display the Swingline Study for an additional fee of $10 a month
  • The Silver, Gold and Platinum Versions all contain the Swingline Study, which is included for free in the monthly subscription charge
  • The charting software contains a syllabus explaining the many features of each charting version along with what the versions cost

An Alternative: QT Market Center

It’s possible you’ve had a free trial to Linn Trade Platform (LTP) already. It’s also possible that you prefer to use charts that operate through a web browser, not as a download.

We made QT Market Center available for these reasons. If you’ve not tried this out in the past year, you can use this to work along with the charting course as well as Linn Trade Platform (LTP)

  • This is not the software Ira used in recording the course videos. It does however operate in a similar manner
  • There is no download of this software as it is browser based
  • This charting program works on PCs and Apple products
  • This software also has a smartphone application works on Android and Apple operating systems

Yet Another Alternative: TradingView Indicators

As an alternative to the software listed above, you can purchase a subscription to Ira's TradingView Indicator suite. This suite of indicators contains every indicator used in the charting course. Please note that none of the examples in the course itself show the TradingView indicators as the examples deal exclusively with LTP and QT software. But they are the same indicators with the same color patterns and you are still able to use the TradingView indicators to follow along with the course if you wish.

There is no free trial offered to the TradingView Indicators with the Charting Course.

Please note you will need to have your own TradingView account to use the indicators. You are responsible for creating and maintaining your own TradingView account. Purchasing these indicators just gives you access to them within your own TradingView charts.
