I’ve learned a lot in the last couple of years from your videos. I’m not so much of a bottom fisher now. Learning to be patient and wait for a trend.
But the most valuable lesson is to not close long positions too early. Yes we take some off the table at the first crack of the Bollinger Bands, but following the 18 day bias rule has kept me in stocks that are working much longer than I would have in the past.

From your incite, I just locked in 1,806.00 of profit on SLV. I learned from you that only 5 percent of the time will a charted item stay outside the band. I’m sure that I will continue to learn more from you. Thanks for what you do. BTW – all of last year my profit was about 1400 dollars. I didn’t have that many losses and I didn’t do that many transactions.

I mostly trade ETFs, moving our account at Fidelity from $25,000 to over $250,000 in the first 5 years. I therefore took a Sabatical from Futures Trading, but recently started back in Cocoa to see if I can build this account. But at 65 I’m slowing down, have a lack of energy and losing interest. We’ll see what I can do over the next few years.

Never has there been a better case as to what happens when the embedded slow stochastic is lost than bitcoin today. It lost its reading (on my numbers anyway) and has surged to the closest moving average, in this case the 18 day MA.

Hope you are doing well. Not sure if you answer these sorts of emails, but I’ll write anyway.
Yet another lesson from you: Once in awhile you point out that if you’re managing a loosing trade it takes away from a fresh opportunity.
By the end of 2022 I had reduced my number of holding quite a bit. I closed out a number of loosing and flattish trades. Freed up some brain power. I was starting to look closer at charts of stocks other that the ones I owned.
Luckily I followed through on a few good looking charts. Point is that if I didn’t unload a bunch of stagnant trades (long and short, winners and losers) I would have been watching them and not seeing new ideas.

new subscriber (Spdr-Etf)+charting and I have completed both courses. I appreciate some of your axioms you hold to: a chart is a chart, don’t trade ahead of big announcements, come up with a game plan, the learning is not a race, and there is always another trade.
This morning you advised caution due to the market’s sharp rise and ahead of this week’s coming reports (jobs etc.) and you had us come out of some of the positions. What intrigues me is that in your review of the charts you didn’t find any new trade setups for the day; and I agreed- there really wasn’t anything there.
I take you back 3-4 weeks ago, ahead of Jackson Hole, FMOC, CPI reporting, etc., and, again, your review of the charts did not find any trade set-ups in that period as well. It’s an interesting corollary that in a period of caution and lacking any solid set-ups you wait; don’t force a position. Perhaps a reminder to those that want ‘action’ all the time; it just isn’t there. I would add that in the prior period you didn’t come back to us saying we missed any trades due to the cautionary view.

I hope this email finds you well and in good health as it’s coming from the heart 😊. I just want to let you know how you’ve turned my investing life around.
You don’t know me but I consider myself one of your students, from way back in 2018 I started watching your market updates during that year market crash, unfortunately I had already blown my account by then (twice 😁). It was my 2nd year in the market, so with no more savings I was just watching your analysis, taking notes and learning, then I took a break to pick up the pieces.
Fastforward to 2020 when most people were panicking, I was raising cash and getting ready. I picked up oil below 10$, Tesla below 100$ and many others just following your golden roles (I only added Fibo levels as a personal touch 😅). I doubled my account value, then quadrupled it. the dollar value is not crazy high (only 6 figures), just the percentage is crazy. I’m still 32 years old, still have long journey up ahead.
On Dec of 2021 I had a strange feeling as things didn’t make sense so I covered 90% of my shares and stayed in cash. I’m not sure if it was one of the indicators or the geopolitical tension, I just consider myself lucky I booked that profit at the top. I missed Mar beak but bought Jun lows, then shorted Aug highs while taking profit along the way. Believe it or not, my trading portfolio is up 50% year to date and I’m only down 2% in my investing portfolio, in 2022 when the S&P is down close to 15%, even I have hard time believing it when I say it load 😅.
long story short, I did all this by applying what you preach, I came across one of your videos couple of weeks ago, I’m very impressed you’re still doing those daily updates after all these years, amazing discipline and dedication. On your financial market update for Oct 13th you said “you want to write me in YouTube…, I do read them every morning” I said to myself I’ve to tell you my story, you should know the affects your methods had on me all the way here in Poland, I’m sure there are many more like me around the world.
I’m very gratefully to you and I can’t thank you enough, I appreciate all you do and I hope you keep it up. Sorry for the long message, I just wanted to show my gratitude and keep it as brief as possible.

I want to first thank you for doing what you do. I am a twelve year now trader. I turned professional January of 2015, formed my LLC in 2016. I have my own methodology that I trade using software developed for a European Company running a CPO. It is on mt4 using a hybrid Renko / Heikin Ashi Bar. I can only trade FX from this software and cross reference to currencies since futures are not available in the states using mt4 and extremely limited on mt5.
I first ran across you and your work around four to five years ago, you made sense but I was still stuck in the loop of finding the “magic bullet, and shiny object syndrome”. I have since matured significantly as a trader and came across you again several months ago and everything clicked. I signed on and took the basic and advanced BB courses. It all made perfect sense. I have been testing the combination of my method which incorporates fib extensions and retracements for double confirmation with the Bollinger bands and trendlines. The BB’s give me a level of Certainty and Confirmation that I did not have previously. They coincide perfectly with my fibs and TL’s and I can now see when and why the trade is losing momentum and where to begin to pay close attention as it hits the zone where these three come together.. I count the bars when they hit the bands 😎.

Ira I took advantage of your special a few months ago and subscribed to the SPDRs ETF. I also took the Bolinger Band course as my special. The first day I watched I made my money back . Not by buying but by not selling a stock I owned because of what I learned about the 3 day average of lows as support.
The reason I’m writing is because my slow stochastic numbers do not match yours. And you mentioned on the webinar that you would tell how to change the numbers so they match.
I have to say by using the BB and slow Sto. My bottom line has improved . Thank You

I know I have given this feedback in the past; however, I just wanted to say again how much I appreciate what you do. You help me keep my cool and make rational choices when the market panics. I was thinking of selling my bitcoin at 14k last year and you said “bitcoin at 14k, get the hell out”. So I did and it saved me thousands. I covered my NQ shorts last week when you said dip buyers might show up. You helped me with my gold trading also. I find myself looking at the charts of many stocks I am considering buying and saying things like, “nope, 3 days over the bollinger band, I’ll wait” and “never buy such an overbought market”. My 401k and personal account have benefited from your teachings and you have helped me to dramatically improve my retirement savings. Don’t ever forget how much of a difference you are making.
